Black Snake Creek starts at Tallegalla and winds its way through Marburg and Glamorgan Vale towards Fairney View and eventually reaches the Brisbane River. For much of its length Black Snake Creek is cursed with high salinity and in recent years a number of projects have been undertaken to try to address this issue. One such project is the planting of native trees and shrubs along the creek bank at Glamorgan Vale, adjacent to the Glamorgan Vale Water Board, to change a weed infested area into an amenity planting to be enjoyed by the community.
