Native Bees: Hive Maintenance (pp. 72-75)
...for more about ideas for using native bee honey.

by Paul Hoffmann MAIH, Horticulturist – Brisbane

The tangy taste of the honey takes on the natural flavours of the wax and gum when stored in the honey pots. The honey is very thin and is great for the following uses:

Drizzled over Ice cream

Use in energy milk shakes, as a pick me up

On breakfast cereal

Spread on toast

The honey can also be used in general cooking.

It’s also great mixed with bird seed; the native birds just love it.
